Inspiring 60 Year Old Mechanic Captivates Audience with Uplifting Performance on Britain’s Got Talent

A heartwarming moment unfolded on Britain’s Got Talent when a 60-year-old mechanic took center stage and delivered an unforgettable performance filled with positive energy and infectious enthusiasm that had everyone on their feet.
Donchez Dacres, an AA member from Wolverhampton with Jamaican roots, stunned the judging panel with his original composition “Wiggle Wine,” earning the coveted golden buzzer from judge David Walliams. The performance was so captivating that it prompted Simon Cowell to declare, “People like you are the reason we make this show; you make it entertaining. I really like you.”
The joyful roadside mechanic’s performance created such an electric atmosphere that most judges couldn’t resist joining him on stage. Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden demonstrated their dance moves while Walliams enthusiastically participated alongside hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
“You embody the essence of radiant sunshine,” Walliams told Dacres after pressing the golden buzzer that sent him directly to the live shows. Cowell later addressed the audience with a bold prediction: “You could have just seen the winner of Britain’s Got Talent.”
Also receiving praise during the episode was the D-Day Darlings, a war-themed female choir who delivered a moving rendition of Vera Lynn’s “We’ll Meet Again.” Their performance, accompanied by images of their relatives who served in World Wars, earned four yes votes from the judges.
Amanda Holden reflected, “My own grandmother is 97 and fought in the war alongside my grandfather, and that is obviously who I was thinking about. It is crucial that we preserve them as a generation; we should honor their spirit, determination, and selflessness.”
The episode highlighted how talent shows continue to discover inspiring performers across generations who bring joy and meaningful entertainment to television audiences worldwide.
