Unexpected Visitor: A Lesson in Communication

The doorbell chimed just as a woman was stepping out of the shower.

Since her husband was about to take his turn in the bathroom, she quickly wrapped herself in a towel and went to answer the door.

Standing there was their neighbor, Bob, who made an unusual proposition: “I’ll give you $800 if you drop your towel.” After brief consideration, the woman agreed, thinking the amount was worth it. She accepted the money, fulfilled her end of the bargain, and closed the door.

When she returned to the bathroom, her husband asked who had visited. “It was Bob,” she replied simply.

“Perfect timing!” her husband exclaimed. “Did he bring the $800 he owes me?”

The woman was stunned. Having just accepted the payment, she realized she hadn’t known the money was actually intended for her husband.

This story teaches us an important lesson: always gather complete information before making decisions—otherwise, you might find yourself in an embarrassing and unexpected situation!
