A disturbing video showing two Afrikaner men threatening Black construction workers in Port Alfred, Eastern Cape, went viral on May 9, igniting widespread anger across South Africa.

The confrontation began when a resident, identified as Charlie, objected to a road construction project near his property. In the footage, Charlie is seen throwing sand at workers and threatening to retrieve a firearm. A neighbor joined in, echoing Charlie’s aggressive stance before the situation escalated.

One worker calmly recorded the incident, pleading with the men to allow them to continue their work. While tensions flared—with Charlie briefly brandishing a gun—the altercation eventually de-escalated without physical harm.
